Privacy Policy
Effective March 16, 2026 · Last updated April 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Pulse Insights LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, operating as RememberWith.AI ("Pulse Insights," "RememberWith," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our AI-powered family story capture service (the "Service"). We believe in being clear and specific about what we do with your data, especially because the stories you share with us are deeply personal.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and password
- Payment information: Billing details processed through our payment provider (we do not store full credit card numbers)
- Profile information: Family name, storyteller preferences (voice, language, session duration)
- Story content: Everything shared during phone conversations with our AI interviewer, including audio recordings, transcripts, and any stories submitted in writing through the Service
- Questions: Topics or questions submitted by Family Members for future sessions
- Support communications: Messages you send to our support team
1.2 Information Generated by the Service
- Transcripts: Text versions of phone conversations, generated by automated speech-to-text
- Stories: Individual story segments extracted from conversations
- Narrative chapters: AI-generated groupings and summaries of stories organized by life themes
- Embeddings: Mathematical representations (vectors) of story content, used to power semantic search — these are not human-readable
- Metadata: People mentioned, places, time periods, and topic tags extracted from stories
- Content classifications: Internal sensitivity ratings applied to stories to support privacy controls
1.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Session data: Call timestamps, durations, and technical quality metrics
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and search queries within the Service
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address
- Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Service: Conduct AI interviews, transcribe conversations, extract and organize stories, generate narrative chapters, and power search
- Improve the Service: Analyze how features are used to improve the AI interviewer, transcription quality, and user experience
- Communicate with you: Send session summaries, account notifications, and respond to support requests
- Process payments: Manage subscriptions and billing
- Comply with law: Respond to legal obligations, including mandatory reporting requirements and valid legal process
2.1 Quality Review During Beta
During our beta period, members of the RememberWith team may review session transcripts and AI-generated content to evaluate and improve the quality of the AI interviewer. This review is conducted solely to improve the Service and is subject to internal access controls. We will update this section when the beta period ends.
2.2 What We Do NOT Do With Your Information
- We do not sell your personal information or story content to anyone
- We do not share your mobile information or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes
- We do not use your stories for advertising or marketing purposes
- We do not share your stories with other users unless you explicitly approve sharing
- We do not use your story content to train our own or third-party AI models (your content is processed by AI to provide the Service, but it is not added to training datasets)
- We do not use advertising cookies or share data with ad networks
- We do not engage in affiliate marketing or third-party lead generation
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
3.1 With Authorized Family Members
Stories captured through the Service are shared with authorized Family Members by default. This reflects the platform's purpose: preserving stories for family. The Storyteller can change any story's privacy at any time through the Service, making it private immediately. When the AI interviewer detects sensitive content during a conversation, it asks the Storyteller about sharing preferences before the session ends. If the Storyteller does not clearly confirm sharing a sensitive story, it defaults to private. See our Terms of Service, Section 6, for full details on privacy controls.
3.2 With Service Providers
We use third-party services to operate RememberWith. These providers are subcontractors processing your information solely to provide their services to us. They are not authorized to use your information for their own marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes:
| Provider | What They Process | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Conversation text | Powers the AI interviewer |
| Twilio | Phone number, call audio | Phone calls and SMS delivery |
| Deepgram | Call audio | Speech-to-text transcription |
| ElevenLabs | AI response text | Text-to-speech (AI voice) |
| OpenAI (via OpenRouter) | Story text | Text embeddings and metadata extraction |
| Supabase | All stored data | Database and authentication |
| Cloudflare | Web traffic, cached content | Hosting and content delivery |
Each provider's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies. We select providers whose API terms confirm they do not use customer data for model training.
3.3 In Response to Legal Process
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process. We will notify you of such requests unless we are legally prohibited from doing so. As described in our Terms of Service, there is no legal privilege protecting stories shared with our Service. Recordings and transcripts can be compelled through valid legal process.
3.4 Mandatory Reporting
If we become aware of information that appears to describe ongoing abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, we may be legally required to report it to appropriate authorities. We do not proactively monitor story content for criminal disclosures, but we cannot ignore information that comes to our attention and triggers a legal obligation. See our Terms of Service, Section 7.2, for more detail.
3.5 Business Transfers
If RememberWith is acquired, merges with another company, or undergoes a significant asset transfer, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored on servers in the United States, operated by our infrastructure providers (Supabase and Cloudflare). If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
4.2 Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest (database-level encryption)
- Authentication and access controls for all accounts
- Row-level security policies in our database, ensuring users can only access data they are authorized to see
- Limited internal access to user data on a need-to-access basis
4.3 Audio Recording Retention
Audio from phone sessions is processed in real time for transcription and is not retained after the session ends. We store only the resulting text transcript and extracted stories. In the future, we may retain a limited portion of recent audio (such as the final minutes of a session) for transcription accuracy verification and quality review, but any such retention will be short-term and clearly disclosed in an update to this policy.
4.4 No System Is Perfect
While we take security seriously, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1 Access and Export Your Data
You have the right to request a complete copy of your data at any time. To request a data export, contact us at [email protected]. We will deliver your data in a standard, portable format within 30 days. Exports include transcripts, stories, narrative chapters, audio recordings (if retained), and account information.
5.2 Correct Your Data
You can edit stories, correct transcriptions, and update your profile information directly through the Service. For corrections you cannot make yourself, contact our support team.
5.3 Delete Your Data
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Upon deletion:
- We will offer a final opportunity to export your data before deletion
- Active data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Backup copies are purged within 90 days
- Deletion is irreversible
We may retain limited records (such as billing history) as required by law.
5.4 Control Sharing
Stories are shared with Family Members by default. You can change any story's privacy at any time through the Service. You can make any shared story private, and it will immediately become invisible to Family Members. You can also release private stories to your family whenever you choose. Only the Storyteller can change story privacy, regardless of who pays for the account.
5.5 Withdraw Consent
You can stop using the Service at any time. You can decline to answer any question during a phone session. You can end any call at any time. You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP (see Section 8.2).
6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act:
- Right to Know: You can request details about what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.

- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information. There is nothing to opt out of.
- Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will verify your identity before processing your request.
7. Children's Privacy
RememberWith is designed for adult storytellers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. Our Service captures stories told by adults about their lives, which may naturally include memories from childhood or stories about children. These stories are the adult Storyteller's own recollections and do not constitute collection of information from minors.
If we learn that we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly in accordance with COPPA.
8. Phone Number and Communication Preferences
8.1 Phone Calls
We use your phone number to conduct AI interview sessions and deliver account-related communications via SMS. We will not use your phone number for marketing without your explicit consent.
8.2 SMS Messages
What we send: We send SMS messages for account setup links, family member invitations, question notifications, and important service updates. SMS messaging is low-volume and transactional (approximately 1 to 5 messages per month). We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.
How you opt in: You consent to receive SMS messages in one of three ways:
- Web signup: You provide your phone number at rememberwith.ai/onboarding or rememberwith.ai/join, verify it via one-time code, and check a consent box. A public preview of this flow is at rememberwith.ai/sms-signup.
- Phone call: During your first call, our AI interviewer asks for your verbal agreement to send a follow-up SMS with your account link.
- Family invitation: A registered family member confirms you are a close family member who would welcome the invitation, and we send a one-time SMS with their name and the invite link.
How to opt out: You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may also reply CANCEL, END, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT. For help, reply HELP or contact us at [email protected].
Carrier disclosure: Message and data rates may apply. Consult your wireless carrier for details.
Mobile information sharing: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Terms of Service, Section 8, for full SMS program terms, and /sms-terms for the standalone SMS terms page.
8.3 Email
We use your email address for account management, session summaries, and important service notifications. We will not send marketing emails without your explicit consent. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
9. Cookies and Tracking
We use only essential cookies required for the Service to function (authentication, session management). We do not use:
- Advertising cookies
- Third-party tracking pixels
- Analytics platforms that share data with advertisers
- Cross-site tracking of any kind
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
